Your front door opens out to a vast expanse of sky. Seeing the Table Mountain, which is almost in your backyard, gives you a sense of security. In one of Cape Town's most desirable areas, Nearly Wild Villa features four bedrooms, two lounges, and many dining options scattered across three levels, as well as a pool that appears to be cantilevered off the mountainside.
What a variety of viewpoints there are. At the top of old St. James, Nearly Wild boasts the best view of the city from its perch above Boyes Drive. False Bay is framed by floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and picture windows show the mountain behind. To maximise space, the house was cleverly constructed with a sculpted ceiling that adds dimension and minimum use of internal walls. As you make your way up the stairwell, you'll see a white Weylandts lamp dangling from the ceiling; to the left is the open lounge, decorated in a palette of blue and maroon, and warmed by a convection wood-burning fireplace in the winter; to the right is an open kitchen-cum-dining room, which features a convection wood-burning fireplace. This well-equipped kitchen is surrounded by vistas that encourage both cooking and entertaining.
The main en-suite bedroom and TV lounge share a slide-and-fold door-enclosed balcony with windows. Large shutter doors may be slid back to create a more private cocoon in the bedroom. It's possible for visitors to relax in the bath while taking in the view of the ocean from the bedroom, which has a walk-in shower and separate toilet. Netflix or Apple TV may be streamed through the Smart TV.
The furnished pool deck and two en-suite bedrooms are both located on the ground level. To the east is the magnificent False Bay, and the timber decking is the perfect position to salute the early sun. A mobile bar can be carried out to the rim-flow pool and entertainment deck. View Cape Point's imposing massif and the dazzling lights of Simonstown from a unique vantage point, surrounded by stone pine trees, in the evenings.
South Peninsula life is just a six-minute walk away from Nearly Wild, with St James beach and tidal pool, the Dalebrook tidal pool, and the retail jewel of Kalk Bay just beyond. You'll be in the heart of Cape Town in little more than 20 to 25 minutes.
